Day 1:
09:00 – 09:15 | Welcome and Course Introduction
The course begins with a brief introduction of the faculty, followed by a clear outline of the learning objectives and the clinical competencies participants will gain. You will receive an overview of the daily structure and how the individual modules build upon each other to form a coherent regenerative treatment concept.
09:15 – 10:00 | Implant Placement Protocols – Biological and Clinical Decision-Making
This session revisits one-stage and two-stage implant approaches with a strong focus on biological principles of osseointegration. Participants will learn how to select the appropriate protocol based on clinical indications, how to evaluate primary stability, and how timing influences long-term outcomes.
10:00 – 10:30 | Tooth Extraction – What Comes Next? Socket and Ridge Preservation
Post-extraction bone remodeling is a key factor for future implant success. This lecture provides a structured approach to socket and ridge preservation, including indications, timing, biomaterial selection, and surgical techniques that minimize dimensional bone loss.
10:30 – 10:45 | Coffee Break
10:45 – 11:30 | Sinus Floor Elevation – Internal and External Techniques
A decision-oriented overview of sinus augmentation procedures based on residual bone height. The session compares lateral window and transcrestal approaches, highlights risk management, and discusses how to handle intraoperative complications safely and predictably.
11:30 – 12:15 | Principles of Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR)
Participants will gain a biologically driven understanding of GBR, including the PASS principles, membrane selection, and strategies for maintaining regenerative space. The focus is on predictable clinical workflows rather than purely theoretical concepts.
12:15 – 13:00 | Small Defects – GBR and GTR in Daily Practice
Management of dehiscence and fenestration defects is presented step by step. The session covers material selection, flap design, tension-free closure techniques, and decision-making based on defect morphology, supported by clinical case discussions.
13:00 – 14:00 | Lunch Break
14:00 – 15:00 | Biomaterials and Bone Graft Substitutes – From Biology to Clinical Handling
An evidence-based overview of autogenous, allogeneic, xenogeneic, and alloplastic grafting materials. Beyond biological behavior and remodeling dynamics, the lecture focuses on practical handling, hydration protocols, composite grafting concepts, and choosing the right material for each defect configuration.
15:00 – 15:20 | Medium-Sized Defects – The Tent Screw Technique
Participants will learn when and how to apply the tent screw technique for horizontal ridge augmentation. The session includes screw positioning, stabilization principles, combination with particulate grafts, and a realistic assessment of risks and limitations.
15:20 – 15:45 | Coffee Break
15:45 – 16:15 | Large and Complex Defects – Advanced Reconstructive Strategies
A structured approach to three-dimensional defect reconstruction. Topics include the shell technique using autogenous or allogeneic plates, block graft harvesting and fixation, vertical ridge augmentation, and staged treatment concepts for complex combined defects.
16:15 – 17:00 | Soft Tissue Management and Biological Enhancement
Successful regeneration depends on soft tissue control. This session covers flap design, periosteal releasing techniques, and the importance of tension-free primary closure. In addition, connective tissue grafting concepts and the clinical integration of growth factors (PRGF, I-PRF, A-PRF) are discussed with regard to long-term peri-implant tissue stability.
Day 2:
09:00 – 17:00 | Hands-on Workshop on Human Specimens
Practical implementation of the techniques discussed during the theoretical sessions. Participants will perform guided bone regeneration procedures, augmentation techniques, and soft tissue management on human specimens under expert supervision, translating theory into clinically applicable surgical skills.
